Readers of Whitehorse opened its doors as an independent bookshop on 22nd September 2009.

Formerly a franchise, this local family owned business made the decision to become a member of the Leading Edge Book Group. We aim to foster a place to bond not only with books but also with fellow community members through a love of reading, learning and literacy. Learn more about out Reading Groups.

We stock local authored books as a service to our customers and as a means of developing new talent and even established writers many of whom cannot gain access to the major distributors.
We want to develop relationships with schools; teachers and independent tutors to encourage as many people as possible to learn a love for the written word.
